Wish I'd known about the auction...  I wanted that sign that says Hot Rod Shop.

I liked that sign when I saw it on the show but wasn't willing to copy it.  Now if I copy it I can call it a tribute to Boyd.  Having the original sign would be even better!

I wonder where Al the chassis guy is at?

I saw Al walking around at either the Antique Nationals or the Roadster Show, can't remember which.  Do seem to remember that he had a Tshirt on that look like it was for his own shop.

Cool and all as that car is, the one featured in Oz over the last couple of weeks is a stock bodied '40 deluxe with much of the original wood frame still in tact.

If I remember rightly the one we have showing here in Oz at the moment is from an old series and I think it ended up being yellow.
I maybe from down under but I know which way is up.

"the one featured in Oz over the last couple of weeks is a stock bodied '40 deluxe with much of the original wood frame still in tact."  Oh yeah, if I remember correctly a bunch of the woodwork had to be done twice on that car because the Boyds guys loosened up  some of the joints by removing the body with the panels out or some such.
