need somebody to tell me if there's a plate between the block and bellhousing on a 69 firechicken with a 350/manual trans...

been too many years since i've done a clutch in a 60's-70's pontiac... :shock:

a pic or part # would be great;)

None that I have ever done. Last plate on a Pontiac I can remember was 63.

there is a lower half plate that covers the opening on the front of the bellhousing on them...  but it is not behind the engine... only the oil pan...


if you have a scatter shield there probably is...  that helps contain any clutch fragments...
