Carpet Recommendations?

I'm building a '37 Ford 2-Dr Sedan streetrod as a daily driver for 9 months of driving each year.  The interior will be grey leather seating w/ Ultra-leather or vinyl panels.  What recommendations do you long-time rodders have for a strong, long-lasting carpet suitable for a street rod?  Wool or blend?

My upholsterer suggests German wool square weave, but its texture leaves me cold.  Is it the best suggestion, though?
