Guys,
Hi, it has been awhile since I have visited as my computer was down and I was busy trying to get my car finished by March.
I have a Ford 9" from somewhere around 65, I think the guy said it was out of a Fairlane.  Anyway, I just went to put oil in the differential and there  are no filler bongs.  There is the breather on the left tube but no plug anywhere on the center section or pumpkin.  How do I fill it?  Through the breather??  And how much is enough?  I can not find a specification on how much fluid went in.
Thanks for the help.  Hope everyone is doing fine.

Some years the  filler was on the pig, some years on the housing. You have a pig from a housing fill, in a housing with a pig fill. you can still fill it. It takes about 2 quarts of MP90/140 grease. You can remove the vent and fill through there, or remove an axle with one side jacked up and full through there. 2 quarts more or less will be fine.

The 9" in my roadster has a fill plug.  But if I was building it now I would weld in a drain plug in the bottom and a fill bung as well.

You can also drill and tap the pig just like the newer ones .. Rags and stuff really help here and the you wont have to worry about chips and stuff from drilling and taping but its best done out of the rearend.. Ive done 3 of em..
