I picked up a nice 51 Kaiser instrument cluster for the "next" project (just gathering parts right now).  It is of course 6 volts.  I know about the Ford and Chrysler instrument  voltage regulators, and I can use a shunt on the amp meter, and on a Kaiser site I found  that International truck oil pressure sender will work.  Now I need to know what temperature sender will work and if anyone knows what the ohms range on the original fuel sender is.  Any guesses?  thanks, Tom...

Look at the gauges, I think they are Stewart warner, if so, standard SW senders usually work.

Nope, King Seely.  Didn't Fords of the 40's use King Seely ?

My 1954 Motors Manual  shows the diag & operation  for Ford & King-Seely fuel guages being the same..Nothing specific...Ground the tank sender wire..Fuel guage pegs..Guage ok.."Replace tank sender"......Guage doesn't peg..Guage bad ..Sender ok..."Replace Guage" ...Other problems ..... If they are King seely gauges, Ford senders should work.
