I know there was something on here awhile back but I can't find it. I need to get the column unlocked and don't have the key.  Where do you cut?
Some days it\'s not worth chewing through the restraints.

When you look at the column like you are holding the steering wheel there is a break-off screw on the bottom left that holds the drop around the column, and on the bottom right there is a similar(smaller) break-off screw that holds the lock assembly in place. Some guys drill those to EZ out the screws , or cut slots so they can be screwed back out. I've heard of guys tig welding a screw to it.

That is all I think I know about that.
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying. "Wow...that was fun!"
