A friend asked me today what the term effie stood for. He seemed to think that it was an anacronym for a phrase relating to F-100s. I had never heard this, I thought it was a slang word for the F-100 trucks. Anybody know? Thanks. Larry.

I've heard of "Buy a Ford and get a Falcon", but not effie...

years back the owners of 56 F-100 would refer to the earlier F-100 trucks as 'slant cabs'...for the slant at the windshield

it was supposedly a 'dig' at the early trucks.

Deep seated repressed feelings of desire by "knee knockers", I believe.

Okiedokie

Knee knockers being the term used in a derogatory description of 56 F100's. Just kidding. I have never been aware of any "dig" intended by either description, just a way to identify obvious differences. Here is my slant cab.
