Calipers for rear disk conversion

I'm parting out a '94 Cadillac Sedan Deville.  I was thinking I'd grab the rear calipers to convert a GM 10-bolt rear to disk brakes.  

Once I pulled the wheels off the calipers did not come off the way I expected.  Before I spend a lot of time taking it apart I wondered if anyone has used calipers like these, and if its a workable approach.  Or would I be better off choosing something else?

Any one know enough about these brakes to have an easy answer?

My target is the rear from a '78 Monte Carlo, but I'm only slightly more committed to that rear than I am to these calipers.  If I don't pull them off in the next week or so they will be scrapped and I won't loose any sleep over it.

Yes, they can be used. the mounting is a bit different, there is an intermediate bracket, but they end up being easy to mount.

Are you aware of a kit that uses this caliper?  Or is it a build your own bracket type of conversion?
