If its only drag raced, why the exhaust? Just curious. Is there a class close to stock their trying for or something?

A lot of Drag Strips are requiring that cars meet a certain Decibel level, especially Strips that are close to Towns or residential areas. Some people also run exhaust because they need the backpressure. Helps the low-end Torque.
