37 Ford w/Fenderwell spare?

I'm watching a Nancy Drew movie on TCM and just saw Nancy driving a 37 Ford 'Roadster' with a Fenderwell Spare.

It was kinda obvious that it was installed as a movie prop for the scene where it was observed, she just happened to have a flat tire on the front tire under the fenderwell spare. Kinda cute that she the spare had a cover advertising a 'good tires' company so she could make a joke about it, before
starting to uncover the spare tire.

Pretty sure the fenderwell spare tire wasn't a Ford option in 37.

Sure looks funny sticking up above the hood. Shoulda had her driving a pickup with a bed side spare.

I had a 37 Stude Coupe Express here, it had a fenderwell spare that stuck up above the hood. Kind of odd looking.
