Does anyone know what Ford 8" rear has 28 splines AND is NOT tapered on the ends so that it can be narrowed. Building a banjo rear and this is what the place in Idaho uses?

Most of them. All of them are 28 spline, and after 1970 or so none of them are tapered except the Mustang II.

While I'm at it (converting to different axles) What 9" Ford axles have 28 spline AND NO taper. I will have to shorten them for the 40 Ford rear end.

Up to 1970, most ford axles are impact forged with  cut splines. Alfter 1970 most Ford axles are roll forged, with rolled splines. The rolled axles are stronger, and just about all of them can be cut for 31 splines, if you shorten them 4" or so. So you are pretty safe with 70 or newer axles.

I don't know if they still do, but Moser used to have a listing of axles to use on their web site.
