i know it's a 3.00 posi BUT is it a 9" or 9 3/8"?
IF it's a 9 3/8, is it ok to modify the  9"housing to fit?
The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it\'s still on my list

It is a 9 3/8" housing. It is out of a 1967 Thunderbird and it has 31 spline axles.

Are you trying to put this carrier into another housing? If so that should be OK once you cut the notches for the ring gear to pass through.
