I have a 1953 chieftain that I would like to restore. I would like to use a newer frame . Any Ideas?

I have a 55 I'm redoing. If you need frame or wheelbase dimensions, let me know. I have a couple of drawings here that might help.

Are you trying to replace a damaged frame, or just update the components? Having worked on a few of these Pontiacs, the frame is one of the strong points, and can be upgraded to more modern parts if not damaged beyond repair.

If you need a new frame, I would be looking at late 70's, early 80's full size GM to match up wheelbase and width. But I think floor modifications will be needed to make it fit.
