It was a good week on the car. I have been trying to get my 15-yr-old son Jamie interested in cars, but no real interest. However, this week I asked him if he wanted to do some welding for me, and he agreed. I spent some time with him and some scrap 18-gauge and the mig welder. When I thought he was ready I turned him loose on some trim clip holes in the doors. I held the patch piece from inside, and he tacked it in place. He them wanted to weld them up, so I let him do both sides. Then he worked on finidhing welding in the GM door latches.

Yeah, life is good.

Last year coming home from K-zoo, my than 11 year old daughter informed me that she would like to build a Street Rod truck someday. I told her that we'll start looking for a project to work on. Well last week I found it - She's now the proud owner of a 1942 chevy pick-up. Granted it needs a lot of work, but hey I've got 4 years before she's even old enough to drive it!!
