ok, here's the deal, 48 chevy coupe, very limited street use (especially when gas is gonna be over 3 bucks), lots of pipe (cage), no insulation,very little interior.
what if i don't run ANY rubber between the frame and body?
i got a feeling squeeks won't be heard
any other drawbacks?
opinions?

You won't notice any squeeks. It may make some body cracks over time, but they are repairable.

Just curious, but why wold you NOT want to put rubber in-between the body and the frame?

I used wood (same as Henry Ford did) inbetween the frame and cab of my 35 pick-up, and I wish I had used something softer. Mine rattles and shakes badly.

as i said before, VERY limited street use.
rattles will NOT be a concern...
more concerned with keeping the body in place,i doubt the frame is gonna flex...
