steering box mounting

hey;
can i mount my vega steering box with the back tilted up to more closely match the angle of the steering column?  if so i'll have to also tilt the pitman arm.

I would guess you could have issues with the pitman arm not being in the same plane as the cross link.  If you rotate the box, the output shaft will no longer be perpendicular to the ground.  Not sure, but it doesn't take much to mess up the steering.  They call it geometry for a reason.

Just my thoughts, some of the others will pop in.

If this is a straight axle , cross steer, yes you can. Make sure you leave clearance for the drag link, as it will move up and down a bit, as you turn the wheel.

Double check clearances.  

I tilted my box and bent the pitman arm so it would not hang down so
far.   I also put in the tie rod end from the top down for more clearance (yes the pitman arm hole is tapered the right way)

It still steers great.
