Do I buy the rubber for the car and just cut it and let it go?
or is there a way to Glue the modified rubber together?
Thanks Jdee

I use the cement that is used for gluing the rubber to the body (door seals) to glue the ends together.  I guess you could also use silicone.

I use super glue. you have to cut it very accurately to use it, it won't bridge gaps.

Permabond 737 is a black superglue made for that purpose. Loctite has a black one too. It's used for o rings and rubber weatherstrip.

One other thing, what do you use to make your
Glass templates?
1/8" MDF or something like that.
I'm lucky all my glass is flat.
