Need rear end info

Has anybody used the independent rear from the 89 and up Cougar and tbird? Is there any surprises in installation?

A friend of mine has installed 2 of the units.  The first one he used it as it was removed from the Cougar donor car as a complete unit.  He put it under a '39 Studebaker Truck.  He just installed a T'bird unit under a '38 DeSoto.  The T'bird units are all positrac according to him.  On the T'bird unit he build all the mounts, trailing arms and all the axle locators.  It looks like pretty straight forward.
