Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund

The following is a press release that I received in the mail. I can vouch for these folks as being who they say they are.

RELIEF FUND

In our September 15th press release and subsequent mailing we spoke of our on-going effort to establish the Hurricane Katrina Gulf Coast Street Rodders Relief Fund (H.K.G.C.S.R.F.). As stated "The fund can only distribute what it receives" To date the response to the mailing has been sporadic and disappointing.
The requests for assistance have surpassed the donations received. Most of the funds received have come from caring rodders from as far away as California, Pennsylvania... Their heartwarming generosity though commendable will not allow us to complete the task of aiding our community. We need your help.
Your dollars will allow the relief fund committee to do just that. We realize everyone has financial obligations but any funds you can spare allows will help those less fortunate. Whether your donation is a dollar, five dollars, or a thousand dollars we ask that you consider giving to the relief fund.
If you are interested in donating you can still do so by sending your cheek, money order, etc. to "H.K.G.CS.R. Relief Fund" C/O Mr. Larry Teal, 9602 Florida Blvd; Walker, LA 70785.
Remember your generosity will allow us to help those in need during these most trying of times.
