What is that length of tube with the umbrella cap?  Light?  Something you made?

My wife walked in while I was reading this thread and she wants me to make one (trellis) for her.  She said "Our yard."  But I don't want one.  So it must be for her.

the landscape lights I bought at Lowes. It had a skinny post / tube , so i slipped a 18 inch length of 3/4 inch copper tube over it then the plastic spike at the bottom. I drilled a hole in the hard dirt , pushed the spike in.   Some ureathane caulk holds the 3/4 inch tube in place on the light.

The trellis deal is 3/4" tube on the outer & bottom cross tubes, all other tubes are 1/2 inch.  I have a few more tubes to weld into the trellis deal and it will be finished.

QuoteThose planters at the end of the drive would only last till the first time the snow plow came by

Snow plow?  whats that??

We have the concrete planters since we live in a cul-de-sac with no curbs / sidewalks.  People have run over my mail box, landscape stuff.  I have some boulders there too.... small pieces of chrome plating on the boulders from something hitting them. LOL

Tony, I noticed you used the term "weld."

Were the tubes soldered or brazed, or can you actually weld copper?

Thanks!

Brazing is the correct term.
