Female DD steering shaft

I had to work around the need for long  female DD steering shaft connector today.  Most of the factory links have only a short section of the female DD about 4 inches long before the shaft becomes round.  Has anyone ever saw a factory steering shaft with a long section of this DD connector?

Some of the GM collapsable columns have one about 8" long in them.

IDIDIT or Borgeson sells the 1" female portion I believe. I just bought a hunk of SS 3/4". Weren't cheap.
