I have a problem with my Miller 35 wire welder.  It is an old unit bu it has always worked great.  In the past when I was ready to weld and I touched the wire to the metal, it would make a small spark, then I would trigger the control and start welding.  Now when the wire touches the metal it arcs and starts to weld.  I replaced the solenoid that the trigger controls as I had thought that it was sticking and causing the problem but it did not.  Does anyone have an idea how to fix the welder?  I can use it now but it needs to be repaired.

I think you have a stuck relay. If thats what you replaced, the solenoid the relay controls is stuck. But normally on a Miller, the relay is the problem. Newark electronics has the relay for a fraction of what the dealers get.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

You were correct master.  It was the larger relay that was stuck on the one side that makes the wire hot.  I freed it up and cleaned the contact and it is working for now.  I will order a new one.  Thanks again.
