Used electronics?

I need to replace the Powertrain Control Module on my wife's Windstar.  If it were you, would you buy a used computer at the boneyard, or insist on fresh from the parts store?  It's a weird sort of failure...no signal at 1 fuel injector while the others are fine.  At least the thing didn't just stop dead away from home somewhere.

Price of each is the factor.  How much new and how much used.  The used one needs to be a bargain compared to the price of a new unit.
