T200 trans

Hi guys I'm after any info on T200 4spd auto's Good-Bad behind a 400hp SBC...
I know nothing about these tranny's
Is it ever goin to cool down up here!

Stock it would be iffy.  A built one would be no problem.  What kind of vehicle do you have.  With my 4000 lb. truck and since I pull my teardrop a lot  I like the lower 1st gear in the 700R4.  For a rod or a car that sees the strip the 200 is a good choice (it is also smaller).  I put a 200 in the 78 Buick I have and so far I like it, but it is stock and not re-built.

I got one for a buddy who put it behind a 409 in a 63 wagon. It was just a cruizer. The only problem he had is the one I got him came out of a Olds diesel. I think he had to change some valving around a bit. He loved the overdrive for the cruizing.

the 200-4r needs some beefin up for a durable unit behind a bit of HP.

friction count increase , etc


there are special input shafts and stator support ( splines) that are stronger , they can be a bit spendy... ie; $$
