36 ford coupe chop

Hi all. I am a newbie here. I have just aquired a basket case 36 ford 3 window coupe and would like to chop it about 2-3 inches. I have some welding skills but don't know where to cut. Could anyone here help me with info or point me in the right direction?

I know it's got too many windows, and it's channeled 14 inches and chopped 4 inches, but, well, see for your self....

April 2005 Rodders Digest magazine has a great step by step article on chopping a 34 five window coupe.

We have chopped a couple of 35 three windows....same body as the 36.

There is a definate difference. Coupe fenders are wider and have different mounting holes and brackets than sedan, Pictures below are a coupe fender on the left and a sedan fender on the right, both 36 ford fenders.

Thanks......you saved me from buying fenders that would have been wall hangers. Do you know where I can find the coupe type rears?
