so, i'm out in the shop welding and i was wonderig, how do you keep the sock from burning

I had to explain once how I caught the cast on my foot on fire.  The doc wasn't too happy about half the innards missing cause I had a spark from welding catch in on fire and most of it was eaten up smoldering.  Didn't burn too bad but ut stunk for quite a while because of me shoving a hose down it to put the fire out.

Get a box of those disposeable rubber gloves ...if you end up with any cast above the wrist take a pair of old white cotton sox and cut the toe out, then pull that up your arm.  Machine wash when it's dirty.
