I have a pair of magnesium Corvette valve covers that have had the paint burnt off in a small area on one valve cover. I am not sure what the  textured finish is that the factory uses.

If you can identify the finish, and help me locate the right material to use to restore the valve covers I would be grateful.

Poida; Not sure what year covers you have. Don't know that it makes a difference. My 91's have discolored because of under hood heat and need to be refinished. Naturally most Corvette restoration and supply shops would sell the correct paint and materials. If it's more complicated then that then you might try the Corvette forum and check their archives as I'm sure this question has been addressed in the past......Frank
