It was a scam. There was a whole raft of them under different seller names. This one and one other had the exact identical story when they answered  an inquiry. Basically send $3000 and be the first in line to buy the car. While I was typing a fraud report to eBay the auction disappeared.

If it sounds too good to be true....it is too good to be true!!!
