Radiator Dimensions wanted.

I am looking for a radiator to fit my odd size small opening.
This is my 55 Stude Commander with a Diplomat clip, that's the
weird corners at the bottom of the pic.
Stock GM 350, to be replaced by a stroker motor down the road.
Mechanical fan with shroud.

Plan A
Upright radiator that will fit within the 16" X 26 ¾" opening  I have
room to go pretty wide (4 core)
Everything I see in Speedway, Summit etc. are all 19" tall.

Plan B
If I have to I can lay it down and get creative with the duct work.  But
I want plan A

Question:
Does anyone have a listing of radiators by dimension instead of application?
I prefer to buy off the shelf instead of having one custom made.
I'm thinking maybe Corvette or something with a low nose might work.

I have a 69 Camaro big block radiator in my Marlin. It measures about 16" tall, and 22" wide. There are no listings that I know of by overall size, all the listings I see are by core size. But if you measure a set of tanks, you can get a pretty good idea of the overall size.

No. Not ever, even though it lacks a shroud.

I did some checking on the camaro radiator and it won't fit.  It appears I
wasn't clear enough in my explanation.

The picture above is the opening I have to put the radiator, including;
tanks, neck, etc.  not just the opening for the core.

I am having the same rpoblem with my '48 Chevy. I would love to find a stock radiator that will fit. Go to your local parts store, and ask to see a radiator book. Usually it is a Modine book. You have to do some cross-checking to get from the picture to the vehicle make and year. The book has pictures that show the core size, the overall size, where the inlet and outlet connections are and what size they are. You look for one that may work, then look the number up in the other section to find out what it is from.

Alternately, there are a number of compaines that make custome aluminum radiators, which I guess work better anyway. Price from the guys I have talked to are all around $450. Another $50 gets you internal tranny cooler.

BTW, I don't think the vette will work for you. They are low but very wide. I'm going to see if a late-model Dodge Dakota will work for me. They are plastic and aluminum, and are around 20" tall by 22" wide.

after I took another look at your drawing, that it's possible a vette or late model Camaro will work. It seems like the one in my '95 Z28 donor car is about 17" tall and 26" wide overall. You might be able to squeeze it in there.
