Want to buy a ball hone and wondering what grits should I get? I know there are different grits for chrome and cast rings but don't know which ones to use. Thanks guys.

The rocommended grits are 220 for chrome rings, and 280 for Moly rings. A ball hone should just be used for the final hone. Some moly rings use a finer finish, up to 600 depending on the manufacturer. Do a Google search on cylinder honing for more info.

Most times the ring mfg. encloses an info/instruction sheet in the box of rings that will recommend what hone to use.
