transmission swap

ok i have been told i cannot put a th700r4 its an md8 in to my 84 c10 it has a th350 mx1 transmission in it right now and the connectors for the electronics are the same so would it work if i swapped it out and used my original electronics?

the connector is the same for both trannys, a square plug with 4 holes.

the functionality of the electrics is different from a t-350 to a 700r4..... so the answer is no.

You can however modify the 700 for converter clutch lock up in over drive only if you wish.
