Ford Performance Parts availability

I stopped by the local Ford dealer today, then called the area's Ford parts distributor. It seems Ford has taken away the Ford Performance Parts line from them. Now there are authorized dealers for them.  The local one of those authorized dealers is asking list price for everything. I was pricing a complete SCJ head. List is $1400. Summit and Jegs are at $1250. I did find one place that had a $1100 price.

It's hard for me to turn loose with that kind of money for my "spare" motor. Luckily I only need 1 for my 4 cyl.

Making the parts scarce raises the price.  Same old story.
