Catalytic converter exhaust temps

I think I have one plugging up so when they are working like they should is the exhaust coming out supposed to be hotter then going in.

Yes. Hotter coming out is how I have always understood it. If you can do it drill a hole before the converter and see if it runs better. You can always weld it shut after the test.

Its about 130 degrees colder coming out so its getting plugged.
