I watched a program today on the Motor Trend channel.  I don't remember the name of the show, but it was two guys putting a "HellCat" engine in an older Charger.  They were changing the rear end, and they had a rattle-can primer, that when it was going on it looked clear.  As they applied several more coats it changed to a dark Green or Olive Drab.  They did not say it was self-etching, only that it reacted with the metal and was the best primer to use on bare metal.  They then proceeded to put on several coats of Black paint (Semi-gloss or Satin) and it looked outstanding.  Does anyone know what type primer that was?

Thanks

It sorta reminded me of the look you get using "Ospho" on rusty metal.....

Dusty  I seen that show last weekend I think. I am pretty sure they said it was self etching primer.

I missed that part I guess.  It's bound to be "Self Etching" but they called it something else.
Since then I have found several different primers that finish up with a green color and the same results.
I just "Googled" up the color green primer and several came up.  TNX for your interest.
