OK crazy idea time . what would it look like to shorten the car down to a 2 door with the front of the front door and rear of the back door grafted together . Stock front sheet metal . Then extend the wheelbase back to original or slightly longer with station wagon quarters to make a sort of extended cab ranchero . One of none made . I would love to see a photo shop of that one .

This afternoon, I removed the dash and the engine and trans is ready for removal. I will have a complete manual trans clutch pedal and linkage for sale when I get the engine out. I don't know if it has any value but I'm sure it's not common. :)
The dash has surface rust under the padded dash cover but it's not bad. I think some 80 grit on a da and it will be ready for prime and paint.

Yes I must admit I held back with my ranchero post but green flake would have to be the colour of choice !

This afternoon's task was to remove the engine and separate the trans from it.

I keep looking for a 55-57 Chevy to build a trailer out of. I think you could make that work with a little TLC. Wheels not show due to time.
:)

You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.
