I just thought I would mention here something we do in Mississippi and that is once a year, we invite all of the car clubs in the state to a meeting at the beginning of the year and plan out the schedule of car events for the year. Back in January, we had around 74 folks representing 22 car clubs and 11 vendors, promoters, magazines. Because the magazines were there, we got coverage in articles in Southern Rodder and in Cruisin' Style (Sept. issue page 62).  My brown '40 Chevy got in both magazines in the pictures.
At this meeting, a Street Rodder of the Year award is presented to one person (this was done by voting months before the meeting). We also have started a MS Street Rod Hall of Fame this year.

Think about starting something like this in your state if they don't have one.

A street rod is a vehicle made before 1949 that is modified with modern stuff: bigger motors; newer trans; updated suspension, front & rear; a/c.
Following is a street rod plus definition: No known definition because it changes.
