I have a AOD in my bronco that is buzzing and can feel it through the shifter,I bought the trans that was supposed to be rebuilt but after dropping the pan after installing I found parts so out it came and I had it rebuilt.  I have a feeling it should have been tossed and found another but it works great but the buzzing is a little annoying,it seems to do it most when at idle and when it gets a little more RPMs it goes away so what could be possibly causing the buzzing.

Don't know if its the same thing but with my AOD  it gets a buzzing noise from the shifter but if I put my hand on the shifter it stops. It's more to do with the shifter or linkages vibrating at a certain speed than a transmission fault.
When I have time I'll look into it.
I maybe from down under but I know which way is up.
Oh hell there goes another head rush.

Thats where I feel it too

I hope I solved the problem by changing the fluid,I was told to change the fluid after driving it a couple thousand miles and some how managed to put 14,000 on it. During the previous rebuild the magnet did not get put back in and I would have thought my rebuilder would have found one to put back in or tell me to find one as the fluid was a little gritty and might not have gotten that way if a magnet was put in,the filter was very dirty too and when I checked the fluid friday and got a little black on the rag told me its past time to change the fluid. No buzz yet and put about 15 miles on it so I hope it will not return and did no damage to the trans.

The buzzing came back so I think the trans is about ready to go so I am going to look for another.
