This is an AMC show car. Any idea what the tail light is? It may be custom made, maybe out of older AMC tail lights

Thanks for posting enjenjo.  There is a guy building a replica of the Tarpon show car and he needs these tail lights.  Any help would be appreciated.

Other unique Tarpon styling highlights included aluminum 13 inch wheels, instead of the normal production 14 inch steel wheels found on the rest of the Rambler line to make the car lower, knock-off spinners, and custom taillights.

This page has a lot of information on it

At first, I thought it was a 'custom car', but after reading the article, it appears to be the concept car.  If it is, indeed, the  concept car, I'm betting that they made the tail lights for the car, instead of using lights from another car. For production, it would've been easy.

When the new VW Beetle was introduced, I was at the Chicago Auto Show, and they had the Beetle on display. They also had a large supply of broken plastic light lenses that they would throw into a machine, and a small Beetle model would come out the end. I happened to get a red one that was made out of tail light lenses.

I hope I'm wrong and that you find the car that the lights came from. It'd be cool to see.
