Cruise-in, Texas

I was supposed to be in Longview, TX this week and was finally going to be able to go to that big Cruise-in they have at the Whataburger there I have been hearing so much about. When the trip came up, I e-mailed my former boss and asked if the cruise date was this week. What are friends for...he called and verified it for me and said that it had moved to a new Whataburger beside Walleyworld and that it was bigger and better. That's when my trip got postponed and I won't be going the right week. One of these days I'll make it over there.
This cruise started out small and grew and grew. It happens on the first Thursday of each month. If anyone on the RRT is in Texas and goes to it, I would like to see some pictures.

Hey Al...
There is another Cruise in Texas that is closer to you.  It's in Orange, Texas at the Weinerschnitzal every third Sat.  Starts about 3Pm and goes until.......Usually 200 to 400 cars  all descriptions, and always has the Oldies radio station remote on site.  Cash drawing every time, sometimes as much as $300.  The second sat there is a cruise at the Casinos/Clubs in Vinton La. Right on the TX/LA stateline....Come see us..

Thanks, it is a little closer to me. Y'all really know how to cruise with that many cars. So, have you ever been to the cruise in Longview?

No Al....Never made that one.....Next weekend going to Roseanky, Tex for a big swap meet...Almost 50 acres last year....Supposed to be more this year.  Roseanky is close to Bastrop ...About 25 miles west of Austin

I went to Rosanky a couple of years ago and it sure is a great spread.  Wear a hat!  At least if you have as much natural solar screen as I do.  Al, I've emailed you before--I was born and raised in Vicksburg.

Dusty, the next time I'll get over that way for a car show is when I go through Bastrop to Crossett, Arkansas in November. They put on a very good car show up there, it's pre-'66.
