If you have some device with Duracell batterys... check them for leakage from the battery.

I've recently found AA, D & 9 volt  batterys leaking in clock, flashlight, other devices.  With expiration dates in the 2015 to 2018 years.  these are devices used on a regular basis, not sitting idle for years

Either I have a run of bad luck or they changed the batterys.  I've used Duracell brand for yrs and seldom had a leaking battery, even years past the date printed on the case

I used Duracells years ago and had good luck.  It seems like the name brands known for quality in the past have become worse over the years.

I use Sanyo Eneloop rechargeables for most everything now and never had one leak or go bad since I started using them in '09.  I never had much luck with other rechargeable brands holding a charge.

Just replaced the AAA Duracell battery in my Mum's A/C controller the other day. It had leaked, resulting in some pretty good corrosion in the unit. It happens over here as well.

Duracell doesn't seem to be as good as they were.

Thanks for posting..I should have a while ago..
I came across some leaking DuracellS awhile ago.
After that I just started keeping batteries out of stuff until I need it.
Pita..if you are not using something. very often. If you use it all the time the batteries are dead before they leak.Hopefully.   I don't use my code readers/scanners/meters very often..I took the leaking Duracells out a while ago. Battery just stays out until I need it.

Wow. These were not Duracells but one of the other expensive batteries..I forget which.
I took these out because they were dead after I posted this.I drop them off at our library for charity. They sat on my counter I admit for several weeks dead..just did not get around to taking them.
Today I notice that one had started leaking pretty bad.
