Finally found some time to hammer on my A. When I was young and stupid,as apposed to older and stupid I removed the drip rails on my Coupe.
My logic was to remove hiccups to smooth out the body for racing. Since I have changed the focus to a more traditional Hiboy it needed to have them back.

I located a couple lengths of 32 ford rail and twisted them to fit the coupe.
I cleaned and straightened the original area and removed the wood to gain access for plug welding them from the back side.

They  now fit like they were made for it!

still need to finish welding the ends and blend  them out...

Thanks Tom...

The madness continues!~
I spent the last couple days fixing sins of my misinformed youth...

When I originally installed the lower patch panels I just overlapped the panels and tacked them on. This left a severe step that would have taken several buckets of filler to blend out...

So I sliced the panels at the seam to allow then to be butt welded.

They now flow nicely

After welding and with a little more metal finishing VERY little filler will be needed. All four lower panels were fixed this way.

Time well spent I feel.
