I have the oil pump off. How do I check to see if the pressure relief valve is stuck? Thanks

make sure the valve is not stuck in the bore. A good manual will tell you how it comes apart.

with the pump off..

disassemble the pump and check the operation of the plunger...

if you have a powerful beefy variable speed power drill..

if you had a screw oil remote oil filter adaptor.. you could also run this type of test with the pump installed by putting the gauge into the remote adaptor..

and spinning the pump with a drill while the engine is complete.

here is a video from melling that also shows the oil leakage when different main bearing clearances are used..
