Hood latch

50 F1

What is a good hood latch to use. Either off a donor car or after market.  It would be for my ford pick up. Both the top and bottom are pretty flat.

or the later rabbit latch and pin..

you might need some hood release cables other than the whimpy VW handle type..

this 88 944 porsche set might be stronger on the safety latch.. less likely to bend over..  but it looks like it closes at an angle.

I've  used a VW Rabbit latch in the past, but for an F1 hood you might want something bigger. A walk through a salvage yard should find several that will work.
