Just wondering......Is much cutting on the floor in the trans tunnel area needed to put a 4L60E behind a Chevy 350 LT1 in a 1939 Chevy?   It looks like it might be close but haven't had time to measure yet.    Thanks.

I had a 41 Pontiac, and the front floor was pretty flat. I had to cut it out to clear the TH400. I don't know how how it compares to your tranny.

On my '40 Olds, we never modified the floor or firewall to install a gen 1 350/700R4 trans ...The trans tailshaft even fits inside the X-member ....Also has a long water pump...Stock bolt in floor trans panel still bolts in ...Close ..But it fits .....
