One of my "Pete & Jakes" front shocks started leaking yesterday.

Anyone have a line on a better set of front shocks?

Have you contacted them?  They have a reputation for standing behind their products.

Yeah I think I pulled too hard on the tie down straps on the front tires and squeezed the oil right out of them!!!

While at Louisville I visited the Bilstein Shock booth. They now have a Pete & Jake replacement shock named 'ROD SHOCKS'. It comes in two different lengths for various applications. Part numbers AK1353 (short mntg.)  & Ak1354 (longer mntg.)
The price for a pair is $69.95. They gave me a sheet of the distributor who is selling their shocks. The name is RCD Suspension (619)588-4723

Might be worth investigating for that price. A good name in shocks, as well.
