Agreed! We just got back from the local Parade, I had to tip my hat to every Vet in the parade, especially the WWII vets....there wasn't very many of them.

Re: the shrinking number of WW II vets.  I had the opportunity a few weeks ago to attend as a guest what was probably the final reunion of the 1st Bn, 7th Marines from WW II.  There were only nine original members present, officer and enlisted.  I was amazed at the sharpness of their memories after 70 years.  It's one thing to read about a campaign, but to actually listen to the people who were there - it was quite the experience.
My project is 90% finished, with only 90% to go.
