O/T Electric Motor Parts

I assume there's a source out there for electric motor parts, but I'm not having any luck on the intertoobz. To be specific I need the end frame for an AO Smith 1hp, through bolted pool pump motor. The end frame casting on the shaft end cracked and no longer holds the bearing in its proper location.

Yeah, I know I could just buy a new motor and/or pump, but I'm a rebuilding sort...

  Why not braze / weld  to repair ??

I'm sure we have some, cuz we're in the swimming pool business. but it's a long way to come and pick it up.

It's cast from something similar to pot metal. Ages grey, with white flecks of corrosion.

My first thought was to fix it, not sure what would be strong enough with proper adhesion.

you might want to post an exact motor model number...

off the decal or ID plate..

and a frame number..

This particular motor is attached to a Sta-Rite JWP series pool pump in which the motor through bolts are used to attach the pump housing.

You may find that it is specific to the pump. I have found a lot of cases where the manufacture of the pump has a propriatary pattern that is not available except as OEM....Good luck!!!

That's for an above ground pool, correct??
