I have a 302" Ford in a T Bucket. The carb base is set at -0- degrees BUT the valve covers tilt back over 4 degrees and looks funny from the side view.  Is it O.K. to tilt the engine up 4 degrees and not worry about the carb base?  This would also help me on driveshaft alignment . Thanks

You can do that. You can also use an angled spacer to tilt the carb back, or mill the intake at the carb base to make it set level. With the carb angled forward, you may have to fiddle with float heights.
