Ending up here in North Las Vegas.

Long story short, the seller of the new house backed out after the moving truck was loaded with our stuff and we're semi-sorta homeless.
Ended up at daughters No. L.V. house for a while - probably 6 weeks to 6 months while we look for another Kingman, AZ house.

Not a rant here nor I am I looking for sympathy - although keeping the shotgun hidden from Sweetie is a decidely good idea about now....

So now that the dust has settled a bit, what cooks in Las Vegas as far as a regular Saturday night rod run goes?

Got my 32 here and it needs to be exercised - preferably after dark when the temps aren't so tough.

My wife watches a lot of those reality crime shows on A&E, Discivery, and Court TV.  Don't wory about the shotgun.  The ladies always use poison, a little at a time, so you really suffer.

I don't recall any Las Vegas based RRT members.  There is a hot rod shop in Vegas, I have seen a couple of articles in Street Rodder featuring their work.  But old age has fuzzied my mind to the point where I don't recall the specific name.  My point.  What was my point?  Oh, yea, why don't you drive over in the roadster, make friends, and get the skinny on local clubs and events?

As for the house, I'd find a hungry lawyer in Kingman and see if you have any recourse.  You may not get the house.  But you should be able to make his/their life miserable for a few months.  The real estate people who represented you are undoubtedly * too.  What do they say?

Jay -- Carl Brunson's shop is located at the Speedway. Carl is one of us, an old pal of Tex Smith, hardcore hot rodder, consumate craftsman, and all-around neat guy.

Carl usually spends opening weekend of Speed Week at Bonneville and then heads back to LV, often making the trip by himself. Maybe you could bum a lift and give your Sweetie a break from your handsome mug for a couple of days.  E-mail me and I'll send you Carl's electronic address.

C9........... sounds like a wacky deal on the house, but it happens.  I'd keep the shot gun hidden too. Hopefully you received a full refund of any escrow monies involved and more ?

when we sold our house in Glendale AZ to move here in Gilbert,  the buyers agent tried some crap with me on the price and "who paid for what" in the contract.  I had to repeat my "no" several times till it became "He!! no" if ya follow me. ;)

2 days later the buyer called my agent (my wife's nephew) directly and asked ( nicely) what my problem was.... LOL   It was explained to her what "her" agent was asking us to agree to in the contract.

She fired the agent, hired a new agent and she bought the house at our full listed price.
