I have a neutral safety switch that I belive is a Ron Francis component. It mounts on the side of my Turbo 400 & has a linkage that activates the actual switch.
I believe the switch is failing. It is 20 years old & I had a problem getting the starter to activate after a club meeting this morning. I worked the gear shift & the starter engaged w/o an issue. I later had the battery (load) checked & cleaned the terminals. No problem with either.
I am going to Louisville & would like to carry a spare switch if anyone knows the part number so I can replace it if it is the problem. Hopefully the switch is an available component that has been adapted for this application.
Otherwise,  I would have to bypass the switch with a jumper which is not something I would like to do.
Any part numbers from the board would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

It's a GM switch from the early 70's, late 60's. Can't give you a number, but the last time I needed one, it was hard to get. I would suggest getting a Locar switch, about $20, cheaper than the GM switch, and easily installed in minutes. And the switch used in that is a heavy duty truck switch, and current production, so will be around for a long time.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

I went to Ron Francis's web site and the switch appears to be one that was utilized with consol shifters on Cameros, Chevelles, etc. I tried to buy one 5 or 6 years ago for my shifter in my Model A & they were not available from NAPA at that time. I have seen them advertised by National Parts Depot  & a few other repro distributors.
Thanks for the input. I'll try Napa again. Year One is in Atlanta so I will give them a call, as well. I'll also look into the Lokar switch & see what it would take to install.
